Silicone back-up rollers are used on continuous “against-roll” applications, were coating heads can be set to coat against a dead stop or to float onto the substrate using a light pressure to achieve a completely uniform coating and a streak-free end result. Based on the substrate properties, chilled and/or motorized back-up rollers are recommended.
